This is more snow than I ever imagined! It started late yesterday when I was on my way home from work until this afternoon. Being in Portland for 2 years plus stories from Brian and my friends from work, snow here had been very conservative for many years. For the last 2 years, maybe I’ve seen one or 2 inches or less. And they only last for a few hours and then everything disappears the next day or 2. Today’s is a lot different, snowfall lasted for 24 hours and accumulation is up to 12 inches. So I guess, this will stay a lot longer than I thought. Earlier today, Brian and I looked over our back deck and laughed, it seems like we had a wall upgrade. Haha!
I am not complaining. I love it. It always makes me feel like Christmas.
Anyway, here’s a short video I took last night when I was waiting for the train. I was on my way home from work and it just started to fall. You can barely see any pile of snow on the ground.
This morning during my walk to the park.
A mama and a little boy enjoying the snow.
If Goku was here, he will enjoy it for sure.
Kids on their way to the park with their snow sleds/tubes/toys.
I’m impressed. There’s so many fun things you can do just outside your house when it snows.
Cars buried by inches of snow.
White snow and a red house is love! Christmas like colors.
Also, our office is closed so no work day for me. And since I don’t have the ability to work from home, I’ve come up with some ideas on what to do on a snowy day like today.
I will care about work backlog once the office opens. 😉 #goodplan
- Go outside. Play with the snow, walk around, take photos, enjoy the view, watch young and adults sled or ski on the road or park. Such a beautiful experience! I really enjoyed it. Maybe next time I will actually try snowboarding/ sledding/ skiing.
- Coffee & Cookies. Great combo to keep me warm and full. And it feels good to relax at home, drink coffee, eat cookies with my pajamas on and not think about anything else.
- Get Crafty. Start a new project. I’m currently knitting a new hat while watching a new TV show.
Bigger version of Olaf. I’m not sure what happened to his nose. I just saw this in one of our neighbors house.
I find this amusing so I am sharing it. 🙂
I was delighted and amazed of my day, I always love the snow. Hope you are having a wonderful snow day too! See you on Instagram. xoxo
